在北半球被阳光环绕的夏末秋初，

雨中国高澳洲研学队伍飞行了十余个小时

跨越大洋，切换季节与语言

来到了尚在冬季的南半球。

在这片广褒的土地上，

多数人对澳洲的初始印象就是——

袋鼠、考拉和羊毛。

待真实地踏上这片土地，

才得以更深地了解它。

在公立中学-Mitchell High School的插班学习中，雨中国高学子与澳大利亚本地学生一对一结对学习，深入互动交流，在全英文环境中与澳洲学生同堂学习英语、数学、科学、历史和文化活动、视觉艺术等课程，在小班授课的课堂中全方位体验澳洲教育体制和校园生活，感受生动有趣、启发性的教育特质。

同时，学生们还参与进野生动物科学课、本土运动项目等各类特色课程，体验不同于国内的开放式教学模式，在实地体验中了解中西文化的差异，提高合作意识和批判性思维。

坐落于新南威尔士州悉尼地区的公立学校-米切尔中学（Mitchell High School）建于 1964 年，在校学生近千人，提供广泛的课程设置，且加强技术设备来支持学习，多年来一直享有卓越的声誉，并且在学术、体育和文化课程方面均取得了卓著的成就。该学校拥有丰富的国际交流活动，与美国、 德国、 瑞士、 中国、 日本、 韩国等多所学校缔结姐妹学校。

A few days ago, I came to Australia, a beautiful country in the southern hemisphere, with some students from G11.

The season in Australia is opposite to that in Nanjing, and the temperature is relatively low at this time.

This is my first time to come to Australia. My friends and I live with the local family, which are very warm and friendly. After one night of  good rest, led by the family, for the first time we set foot on the road to school. We are arranged inMitchell High School. It is a local High School. Each of us has a buddy to guide and help us to experience the two weeks' study and life in a foreign country.

This is the first time I have been here. I am  unfamiliar with many things. I have often encountered situations where  Idon't know what to do,for example,losing my way, and have to ask the way. By communicating with residents, school students and passers-by,  I have realized the importance of English learning more and more.

Although this study tour will only last for 21 days, we will eventually embark on a study abroad in the future. Do you have the ability to take care of yourself and take care of your life while living and studying away from your comfort zone?

校园课堂之外，寄宿家庭生活也成为了国高学子们的“第二课堂”。学生们寄宿在当地澳洲家庭，在全英语的生活环境下与澳洲家人一起生活，这使得学生的语言能力、新环境的适应能力以及不同文化背景的包容度都得到了极大的锻炼提升。

与此同时，在融入澳洲文化、结交澳洲朋友的过程中，发现和解决问题的过程使得国高学子都成长为沟通高手。不同于国内的澳洲生活观念和处世态度也使得学生思想得以迅速发展和成熟。

As time goes by, I have been in Australia for 4 days, and l am having a great time here. Fortunately, l stay in an enthusiastic family in which all the people are Indians. They often ask me what l want and satisfy my needs. What surprises me most is the Chinese food. We all know that it is rare to see Chinese food in a foreign country. But “Mum”made it very well, which tastes like that when we eat in China! They also provide a great room for me to live in and take good care of me. Overall, l am very satisfied to meet such an excellent home to stay with.

Moreover, the school my schoolmates go to is called Mitchell High School, which l guess has lots of positive reputations from all over the country. Since we are not familiar with this school, each of us has a buddy and he/she will tell us where to go because we have different classes in different classrooms. My buddy is called Tegan, who is very introversive but very graceful girl. We have lots of common topics which we are interested in. Through this form of study, l began to knew about the distinctions of cultures between countries. One different thing between my trip to England and that in Australia is that we have to take the buses home by ourselves. On the first day my friend, Yolanda and l got lost because we didn’t catch any bus until 5pm. But with the guidance of our homestay, we can even take the buses by ourselves on the second day! Immediately, we knew the importance of independence when we enter another country. Only four days in Sydney, l have felt that independence has played a dominant role in our daily life. We cannot imagine what life will be without it. I think we should take a longer time to form the habit by practicing every time.

我的住家给同住的学生定了规矩，只要在家里就必须说英语，学生们也尽力全天候使用英语交流，得到了住家的表扬称赞。同时，我们也鼓励学生力所能及地去帮忙做一些家务，学生很乐意帮忙，虽然缺乏锻炼机会，做的不是很到位，住家Diana还是很开心地去示范和教导他们。而且，住家也很关心学生的成长教育，知道如何去关爱、指导、鼓励他们。晚饭后，她常常和我沟通教育相关问题，是一个非常称职的家长。
