曾经有人说，

新加坡是小到一天就能逛完的地方。

可是当你的双脚踏上这片土地之时，

你就会意识到

这个拥有“花园城市”美誉的迷人国度，

用再久的时间来领略都不过分。

在2019新加坡研学之旅中，从新加坡MDIS学院到南洋理工大学，国高学子们开启了知识风暴，体验兼具东西文化精髓的新加坡课堂；从科技馆到小印度，国高学子探寻着新加坡的多元文化，感受历史痕迹与现代化技术和睦共处的兼容并蓄；从夜间动物园到植物园，学生们与大自然零距离接触，直观了解新加坡作为“花园城市”的可持续发展理念……

教育体验

体验“新”课堂

在这个充满无穷魅力的中西文化交汇点，其独特的教育体系融合了东西方的教育精髓，让新加坡的课堂更富有生命力。在MDIS的课堂里，国高学子通过体验新加坡本土课堂，感受新加坡既与欧美国家接轨又有自己独特之处的教育风格，汲取新加坡课堂开放思维、勇于讨论的特质，在实践中转变自我学习方法与学习态度。

研学的意义在于可以亲身体验不同的文化与教育，在不同语言环境下大胆用英语与人沟通交流，在不同的教育理念下感受灵活创新的思维模式。我们在老师的鼓励下，用英语介绍着自己，并体验了新加坡全英课堂模式，对于我们而言，已经是成长道路上一次难忘的经历了。此外，不论植物园里形态各异的植物，还是小印度里浓烈的异国文化，都给我们留下了深刻的印象。

除了传统新加坡课堂外，雨中国高学习还深入探访了新加坡国立大学与南洋理工大学两所世界顶级学府，感受全球顶尖大学魅力，并参加了南洋理工大学卓越领导力课程，这不仅让国高学生感受到亚洲顶级学府学生的生活及学习氛围，激发心底追求更高学业梦想的动力，还让学生在不同文化及人文差异的体验中，培养起责任心和独立性，挖掘潜能、塑造人格，扩展学生的国际视野和树立坚韧的世界观。

We spent this day with Mr. Jay. It has been amazing being around Mr. Jay. Sometimes he was strict and serious , but most of the time, he was quite nice and gentle to us. This is why we all love spending time with him! He has devoted to advocate Singaporean culture.As the leader of this trip, I’d like to do the same thing as he does. He told us that, “people have responsibilities to develop their national culture and are free to interact with other cultures.” I agree with his thoughts and admire that he is able to travel around the world with his friends. Meanwhile , I hope that one day I can be trusted and respected to present Chinese culture and I’ll show our respects towards other cultures.

文化探索

感受“新”文化

如果有一个词可以描述新加坡，那么这个词便是“独一无二”。

作为多元种族的国家，新加坡以“和而不同”独树一帜。在这里，纷繁多样的文化，美食，艺术和建筑和谐交融，兼容并蓄的文化特色为新加坡增添了无限的魅力，而不同文化并存成为密不可分的社会整体，更令人叹为观止。研学旅程已接近过半，雨中国高学子通过游览夜间野生动物园、国家植物园、科技馆、新生水厂、小印度等著名人文景点，充分了解到新加坡的历史与现代文明的传承，在深度探究、思考问题中提升思维能力、开拓国际视野。

We met Mr. Ashok again. The first half of the class was about conversations in shops, which was quite boring actually. But things started to change when we finished our exercises and Mr. Ashok played some funny videos. Because of this ,we started to lighten up ourselves and laughed out loud. By the end of the class, we got certificates and took photos with Mr.Ashok. Although we have only known each other for two and half days, I still felt a bit of sad about saying goodbye.

In the afternoon, we visited the plants museum. The best part of it is that I saw many wild chickens----even a lizard which was not afraid of people at all. We all took pictures excitedly. As you can see ,it's uncommon in our daily lives. As for those flowers, they are just fine. Although I am not a big fan of flowers and plants,  I enjoyed the beauty of them too. Then we went to a museum in a university where we saw a lot of amazing things, including remains of dinosaurs and snakes which were stored in glasses with lots of weird liquids. It was the first time I've seen a complete and well-preserved dinosaur , and I was shocked.I thought something as important as this should be kept in the glass boxes ,or at least be surrounded by some fences.Even though the protection wasn't really adequate ,it turned out that the remains were still safe. I think it has something to do with the citizen’s moral quality. Everyone here is conscious of their responsibility to keep the bones intact.

The technology museum was fascinating. I was impressed by some amazing and crazy thoughts. For example,they use magnetic field force to make metal dance and make people feel the wind with the speed of 125km/h. What else, they also showed us the science of fear by letting us walking through a scary ghost house, though it was not scary at all. Some of these experiences may help me on my academic subjects. Science is not only solutions fixed by formulas but also an art form. It needs inspiration and creativity too.  After the short tour in the museum, I found I lost my ticket to the cinema. First, I was so upset. But I was still allowed to enter. I thought today was my lucky day. I know that good fortune doesn’t show up every day. So I should arrange and organize my stuffs in case something like this happens again . That is a lesson to learn.
